Interstate Business Equipment, our parent company, was founded in Omaha, Nebraska in 1963 to provide community banks with hardware, sales, and support services. Two fundamental philosophies have always been our driving force:

Modern Banking Systems was founded in 1975 and quickly established itself as a single-source core data processing provider. Today, we’re a leading provider of core banking software and solutions for community banks. We are a small company made up of some really big thinkers.
We know that our customers’ success is our success. We use customer-centered focus groups to identify and implement changes to our core. It’s important to understand what challenges and regulations our community bank’s face; what they need to make their jobs secure and more efficient; and what tools are necessary for a bank to understand and respond to their connected customers. Our goal is to know our customers so well that we can anticipate their changing needs and to proactively provide the right solutions. The better you know your customer, the better chance of success. We believe strongly in our clients and in their customer’s confidentiality and information privacy. We will not provide access to, or publish any client or client customer data without the expressed written consent from the client. We recognize the significance of our client’s regulations, such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the Right to Privacy, and has instituted procedures to comply with the requirements.
Dan Cronin founded Interstate Business Equipment, Inc. (IBE) in 1963, after spending 15 years with National Cash Register (NCR) in marketing and product development. IBE provided refurbished Proof and Post-Tronic machines, programming, and hardware maintenance to community banks. IBE developed a hardware service customer base of more than 300 banks.
In 1975, when the mini-computer came of age, Modern Banking Systems, Inc. (MBS) was founded to develop and market turn-key electronic data processing solutions to community banks as a subsidiary of IBE in Omaha, Nebraska. Today, MBS and IBE support community bank core installations throughout the country in banks ranging from $8 million in assets to over $2.1 billion in assets. The IBE and MBS staff today consists of over 60 people involved in program development, installation and training, customer service, hardware research, maintenance and repair, operational consulting, and marketing activities.
